Kbhi Mitter is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of KKM Companies, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy, acquisitions, asset management, leasing, development, and corporate operations. Under his leadership, KKM Companies has built a reputation for identifying value-driven investment opportunities and executing disciplined business plans that maximize long-term asset performance.
Kbhi has overseen the management, leasing, redevelopment, and strategic positioning of a growing commercial real estate portfolio across retail, office, and industrial assets. His hands-on approach combines institutional investment principles with an entrepreneurial mindset, allowing KKM Companies to move decisively while maintaining a long-term ownership perspective.
Kbhi’s experience spans every stage of the real estate investment lifecycle; from underwriting acquisitions and negotiating leases to capital improvement planning, construction oversight, financial analysis, and day-to-day portfolio operations. His expertise in repositioning underperforming and distressed assets, improving occupancy, and enhancing operational efficiencies has contributed to the continued growth of the firm’s portfolio.
Prior to founding KKM Companies, Kbhi developed extensive experience managing commercial real estate assets and working alongside ownership groups on leasing strategy, tenant relations, capital projects, and investment analysis. This operational foundation continues to shape the firm’s philosophy of active ownership and disciplined execution.
Today, Kbhi directs the firm’s strategic growth initiatives, with a focus on managing high-quality commercial real estate in strong, supply-constrained markets. His vision is to build KKM Companies into a premier privately held real estate investment platform recognized for disciplined capital allocation, operational excellence, and enduring partnerships with investors, lenders, tenants, and communities.
Mitter holds a graduate degree in Real Estate from Georgetown University, where he specialized in commercial real estate investment, finance, and development. He combines institutional-level analytical training with practical experience operating assets in competitive markets, positioning KKM Companies to pursue opportunities with the sophistication and discipline expected of much larger firms.
